Situation of rural women in Serbia - Report

Women living in rural areas comprise one of the most vulnerable groups regarding equal opportunities in all areas of public and private life - from the possibility of participating on an equal footing in the positions of power and decision-making in the state, community, and family, to access to healthcare, educational, social, and other services, finance and resources, as well as the inheritance of farms and other property.

“The Situation of Rural Women in Serbia” is a Shadow Report to the Committee for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women regarding the fourth reporting cycle of Serbia. The report was submitted by the members of an informal network of women’s organizations dealing with the situation of rural women.
