Thematic Update - Decent work for inclusive and sustainable growth

This thematic update examines key labour market trends and challenges shaping inclusive and sustainable growth globally and in Serbia. It explores issues such as demographic change, skills mismatches, productivity, migration, informality, gender inequality and youth employment, while highlighting policy approaches aimed at promoting decent work, stronger labour protections and resilient labour markets.

The publication also presents an overview of the United Nations Country Team’s interventions in Serbia supporting job-rich growth, green and digital transitions, human capital development, gender equality and labour market inclusion, with a particular focus on women, youth and vulnerable groups. Through coordinated action and partnerships, the UN in Serbia continues to support policies and initiatives that contribute to more equitable, sustainable and people-centred economic development.
