World Bicycle Day 2024: Your Pedal, Your Health, Your Nature

This Saturday, June 1, we will celebrate World Bicycle Day with the theme "Your Pedal, Your Health, Your Nature"! Join us at Pionirski Park in the center of Belgrade at 11:30 AM. We'll ride to New Belgrade, return across the Branko Bridge, and finish at the plateau near Nebojša Tower, where we invite you to join us for a picnic. We'll provide the music and sound system; you bring blankets, frisbees, badminton sets, snacks, and refreshments.

Bicycles are the most energy-efficient mode of transportation, even more efficient than walking. They do not pollute the environment, have a small ecological footprint, and create minimal noise. By staying active, we contribute to a healthier environment and improve our own well-being.

This ride is not only about having a great time but also about promoting the importance of green spaces in the city. Green infrastructure and corridors help reduce urban temperatures and mitigate the effects of heat islands.
