Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between United Nations and the Republic of Serbia 2021-2025
The UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks offers a new opportunity to scale up implementation of the 2030 Agenda and demonstrate beneficial results for all people in Serbia.
It represents a document of high importance for planning and implementation of the United Nations recommendations at a country level, in overcoming the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and addressing key development priorities and challenges to the achievement of the objectives of the 8th Five Year Plan leading to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, its SDGs and ensuring greener, healthier and better future, where no one is left behind.
By 2025, United Nations in Serbia envision that through partnerships and EU assistance, Serbia will make significant progress towards the three strategic priorities:
- Harness the full potential of a green, sustainable and inclusive economy.
- Place wellbeing, social equity and human potential at the heart of systems, policies and practices.
- Build trust and mutual accountability through the rule of law, the rights and duties agenda
The strategic priorities are to be achieved through eight interrelated and mutually reinforcing outcomes designed to advance progress towards the SDGs. The Government of Serbia and the United Nations system share accountability for achievement of the planned results.
