Progress in Monitoring SDG Indicators in the Field of Sustainable Urban Development in the Republic of Serbia

The United Nations website is pleased to present the 2023 edition of a publication jointly prepared by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) and the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UN RCO), with technical support from UN-Habitat. This publication focuses on tracking the progress of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators within sustainable urban development. 

Aligned with the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, this publication is part of a joint effort initiated in 2021 with the publication "Progress in Monitoring of Environment related SDG Indicators in the Republic of Serbia." The latest edition examines the findings from the analysis of forty-six specific SDG indicators identified within the Global Urban Monitoring Framework. 

Of particular interest are the seven indicators associated with sustainable urban development, which were notably missing from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia's database at the start of the analysis. The report provides details on the availability statuses of these indicators at the conclusion of the project.
